Who I am
I’m Evita — a multilingual, internationally experienced doula.
With a background in Biology and Neuroscience and years of research experience across Greece, Switzerland and California, I bring evidence-based knowledge alongside deep compassion to my work.
Send me a messageMy story
The birth of my daughter, Zoé, in 2019 marked a profound turning point in my life.
It deepened my understanding of birth as a transformative rite of passage and led me to follow my true calling: supporting families with presence, compassion, and informed care.
As a doula, I support people in advocating for their needs, navigating complex systems and experiencing pregnancy and birth with confidence and autonomy. My role is not to replace medical care, but to complement it—offering continuous emotional presence, practical support and space for informed decision-making throughout pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period.
Before becoming a doula, I worked as a researcher in Biology and Neuroscience. This background continues to shape my work today, grounding my approach in scientific knowledge while honoring the lived, embodied experience of pregnancy. I believe that evidence and intuition are not opposites but can coexist in meaningful and empowering ways.
Having personally navigated PCOS, infertility, pregnancy loss and amenorrhea, I bring both professional knowledge and lived understanding to my work. These experiences have deepened my empathy and reinforced the importance of being truly heard, respected and supported—especially when the medical system feels overwhelming or dismissive.
Living and working in Berlin, I am familiar with the local maternity care landscape and the challenges many people face when navigating it—particularly in a multilingual, international context. I support clients in understanding their options, communicating their preferences and finding a sense of grounding within a system that can often feel impersonal.
I offer doula support in person in Berlin and online. For parts of the year, I am also available in Zurich and Athens.
